Well I am finally a mummy. Baby Amelia Evelyn arrived on 14th September at 19.42 weighing in at 7 lbs 2. She is just divine and I adore her already.

I had a natural birth and spent most of it in the birthing pool at the Spires midwifery unit in Oxford. The staff were outstanding. It was a long labour and precluded by 10 days of practice contractions, so I was well and truly happy to finally meet her on 14th.

Amelia has been keeping me very busy over the last few days (hence I haven’t had a chance to blog) but don’t worry more blogs coming soon. In fact I am due to post a guest blog today from another lovely mummy about her struggle with mat leave, so watch this space!

I’m off to change baby Amelia and give her a feed now. And then later today we are off to get her registered….our big trip out to town with the pram.. wish me luck everyone!
