Eco gifts for her

Tentree crew top

This eco-friendly crew jumper is simple, yet really stylist. You can pair it with anything, from your sweatpants to your jeans and smart boots. Not only that, but it’s also incredibly comfortable too. The inside of the crew is very soft on the skin and all ethically made from sustainable materials.

When you buy one of these crews you can also feel that little bit better about your purchase too, as Tentree plants 10 trees for every item sold. That’s 66 million to date. They have a target of one billion by 2030, which is really pretty cool. Their planting work has huge impact on communities decimated by deforestation or wildfire.

What I love about this brand is that Tentree is committed to sourcing the most eco-friendly materials possible. They use organic cotton and recycled polyester (i.e., taking discarded bottles from landfill to make the clothing). I just love everything about this concept and will definitely be getting a few more eco items from them in 2022.

RRP: £50.00

Global WAKEcup glass infuser

I’ve got a couple of lovely travel coffee cups, but nothing really suitable for herbal teas. I always find the cups always taste of coffee no matter how many times you wash them. So this was a winner for me.

Global WAKEcup has an extensive range of sustainable, reusable coffee cups, water bottles, bamboo cutlery, straws and lunch boxes. This brand is perfect for stylish, yet environmentally friendly gifts for all ages. I tried out their glass infuser which you can use for both hot and cold drinks and with its double walled design, it definitely keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold for about an hour.

Not only is this a stylish and sustainable tea infuser, it also works really well if you just want to drink cold water – you can infuse lemon or other fruits in the water too. I love the elegant glass and organic bamboo design. It’s a real winner looks wise.

RRP: £22.00

Modibodi

I’m already a big fan of Modibodi, but if you haven’t heard of them then you have to check them out. They are the leading leak-proof apparel brand whose range of underwear, activewear and swimwear has been designed to manage period leaks effectively and sustainably, with no need for pads or tampons.

These stylish pants make a great stocking filler for those ladies who are eco-conscious and looking to cut down on their plastic waste. And whilst they are indeed period pants, they are in fact, pretty smart looking. I love their new designs too. They certainly don’t feel frumpy or thick and are really very comfortable.

The Brita Water Filter Bottle

I love this practical, eco-friendly water bottle with an integrated filtration system from Brita. The bottle comes with a MicroDisc which they say reduces chlorine and other taste-impairing substances. The filter helps to make tap water into great tasting, freshly filtered water, and lasts about one month. The bottle itself also looks smart and has a really nice flip cap to ensure the water drinking teat remains clean. The bottle is also dishwasher safe and BPA-free, and it feels really sturdy. I should know, it’s been dropped by my little one a number of times.

RRP: £16.50

Toddler temptations

Wee Crafty boxes

Wee Crafty Boxes provide eco friendly, recyclable and reusable craft items in this cute Christmas themed kids box.

Their Christmas Box contains three fun crafting activities which help to bring imaginative projects to children between the ages of 3-8 years. The box is personalised and includes stickers, a colouring picture, items to make arts and crafts with instructions and a special gift Christmas activity book. We loved making our paper plate Christmas tree and our own personal elf. The peg activities went down well too, though I couldn’t say for sure what they ended up looking like in the end – certainly not like Rudolf anyway!

With eco-friendly packaging contains recyclable and reusable items, so parents can be confident that they’re getting something for their little one that’s not just going to end up adding to landfill. Plus the whole lot is delivered straight to your door, easy peasy! Ours was a godsend when we had to isolate before Christmas too.

RRP: £12.99

Giant Trees have now joined HARIBO’s range of festive tubes. Not only are these yummy but they are also perfect for vegetarians too given their ingredients.

If you want to add these sweet treats to your kiddies stockings, then ask Santa to head to: Haribo or any mainstream supermarket.

Count with Peppa

This is a great little educational, yet fun toy for your little one.

Count with Peppa will help to develop your child’s counting skills, as well as colour and picture recognition. Peppa comes with 10 interactive play coins to put into Peppa’s purse and there are 8 different activities. Great for playing shop and learning about the value of money.

What’s really nice about this is that Peppa recognises which coins have been inserted and responds accordingly with one of the activity games. It’s a great way to learn, but without them realising it.

RRP: £20.00
